Workaholics: Hot Women in the Work Place

Tonight on the new episode of workaholics on comedy central, the episode was based around a new girl that comes to the work at the office. All the people in the office want to get to know her because she is a pretty blonde woman from Australia. As the episode progresses you see how the three main characters, Blake, Ders, and Adam treat this woman differently around the office because she is so beautiful. She suddenly becomes the most popular person in the office solely based off of her looks. There are so many scenes where they will focus in on her different body parts and there is even a scene where she trips and falls over and everyone refuses to help her up because her underwear is sticking out and all the guys do not want to stop looking. Even though I love this show and I found much of the episode very hilarious, it got to a point where it was almost obnoxious that they were treating this woman a certain way and even the woman in the office place were treating the pretty Aussie differently because of her looks. After what watching Private Practice today in class and seeing how woman were portrayed in that show and then watching a completely different genre and almost seeing them the same way, it's a little sad that so many shows play woman out to only be good for their looks. Although in Workaholics case it was for the purpose of humor and she was still a smart and sophisticated woman, even the fact that they just pay attention to her because she's pretty on her first day is a bad impression. They knew nothing about the woman and still they were fighting to be her boyfriend. I enjoy these types of shows but it does not help the stereotype that women have to be beautiful to be liked in the television world.
